You’ve probably heard of different injectable treatments like Botox, filler, and Kybella on social media, through friends, or during a late night google search. But what can you really expect at your first appointment?
When you enter the front door at Opulence Chicago, you’ll be warmly greeted by our front desk staff. All necessary paperwork and consent forms are sent to your email and available to complete prior to your appointment. If you didn’t have the chance to do so, not to worry as you’ll be able to complete it upon your arrival. Once you’ve been checked in, one of our injectors will escort you upstairs to a private injection room.
After introductions of course, you’ll discuss the reason for your visit and the primary focus of the appointment. Our injectors love to provide you with plenty of information and all of our treatments are customized to your anatomy and for your needs. For example, Botox injections are priced by the unit. The amount of units you need depends on how many areas of the face you’re treating, how strong your muscles are, if you’re interested in preventive or corrective treatments, and the best part - how frozen you want to be! Don’t let that word be intimidating! We usually ease people in on their first appointment to leave some natural movement with room to add more if desired in a follow up appointment.
An appointment for filler will be slightly lengthier than Botox. A full facial assessment is performed to determine how to best optimize your proportions while also achieving your desired outcome. Filler treatments can be done in stages depending on your comfort level and recommendations from the injector. The goal is never to distort your anatomy, but enhance, restore, refresh, and improve overall facial balance.
After your treatment, we’ll reinforce the recovery process, expectations of the treatment and some short term do’s and don'ts. We never want an injectable treatment to be scary or cause additional anxiety. We know people are worried about needles, swelling, bruising, but we also want you to love your end result! This is why there will always be a discussion about what happens in the treatment room to eliminate any surprises and ensure you’re comfortable moving forward.
During your service or prior to checking out, your injector will also be able to help answer questions about any of the other services we perform at our medical spa. Skincare treatments and home regimens compliment injectable services and are necessary to maintain longer lasting results and overall healthier skin - it is afterall, the largest organ on our bodies and important to take care of. We’re here to provide you with all the necessary knowledge so you can achieve the outcomes you desire and deserve! From check-in to check-out, we want you to feel at ease with the process and know you’re in good hands. Should an occasional question arise after you leave, you’ll have easy access to communicate with your provider via social media/Instagram and email or phone call during business hours.
